You can choose from a number of ways to learn mindfulness – including in person and via books, audio and apps. The strongest evidence base to date is for is Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), which is traditionally taught in eight week classes, but is also available online.
This directory lists mindfulness teachers who follow the Good Practice Guidelines as developed by the UK Network of Mindfulness-based Teacher Training organisations. Teachers are flagged who have applied to the UK Network directly and have been able to demonstrate via an assessment process that they meet the guidelines.
If you, or someone you know, could benefit from learning mindfulness, why not find out if there’s a teacher hosting courses near you? Just enter your postcode to search for a teacher. If there are no courses or practitioners listed in your area you can learn mindfulness via your computer, tablet or mobile with our online mindfulness course.
Mindfulness courses and practitioners are listed for information only. Inclusion does not mean that the Mental Health Foundation endorses any services they provide. We advise that anyone living with or suspects they are developing a serious mental health problem seeks the advice of their GP before undertaking a course.
If you’re a trained and experienced mindfulness teacher, why not list your services on our teachers’ directory?
