What qualifications or training do you hold?

As a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I chose to follow a 10-Year supervised teacher training pathway with The Centre for Mindfulness, Research and Practice at Bangor University and was awarded a certificate of competence at advanced level to teach MBCT and MBSR in 2018. I have specialist teacher training in mindfulness for pain and illness with Breathworks and interpersonal mindfulness training with The Centre for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts Medical School and Metta Programs. I am also trained in Emotional Focused Couples Therapy and EMDR.

How do you continually ensure your knowledge and skills are up-to-date?

I use a variety of different resources to ensure my knowledge and skills are current and up to date. These include books, research papers, pod casts, on-going training and development. As a therapist, I am interested in the clinical applications of mindfulness. I value the courses and resources offered by The National Institute for Clinical and Behavioural Medicine who embrace the work of the world\\\'s leading experts in mind/body medicine.

Do you adhere to appropriate professional and ethical boundaries and frameworks in your work as a mindfulness-based teacher?

As a mindfulness facilitator, I adhere to the Good Practice Guidelines of the UK Network of Mindfulness-based Teachers.
