Medical qualifications in Medicine and Surgery (MB, ChB) Medical diploma in Child Health (DCH) Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) Masters in Health Management (MSc) Masters in Psychoanalytic Studies (MA) Masters in Mindfulness-Based Approaches (MSc) Certificate of Competence in Teaching Mindfulness-Based Courses Currently completing the Teaching Diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga

If you teach MBCT, what professional mental health training do you hold?

I am a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with a background training in medicine, Paediatrics and Adult Psychiatry. I have also completed accredited trainings in child psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, parent training, hypnosis, biofeedback (HeartMath) eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), executive coaching, and several other evidence-based therapeutic and mental health trainings.

How do you continually ensure your knowledge and skills are up-to-date?

Ongoing mindfulness training, including teaching and supervising Meeting with other mindfulness practitioners and teachers Attending national and international conferences Undertaking mindfulness research (particularly with children and young people) Extensive reading of relevant journals and books Also training in other mindfulness related treatments such as DBT and ACT
