Mindfulness makes a diffrence
Dr Jonty Heaversedge, the BBC Street Doctor supports Be Mindful:
“Whilst none of us can permanently postpone illness we can make every effort to optimise our health. For a long time I have been able to offer my patients advice on how to do this for their physical health – Now, with Mindfulness, I am able to suggest a way of maintaining a healthy body and mind.
At least one third of the average GPs caseload consists of mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and many physical health problems are stressed related. I, like many GPs do not have access to Mindfulness-Based Therapy for my patients and we can rarely refer them to courses because they are not widely available.
Together with the Mental Health Foundation, I want to raise public awareness of this hugely beneficial treatment and develop the use of Mindfulness-Based therapies in the NHS and beyond “It really can make a difference to lives”
Please help us make Mindfulness courses available to EVERYONE. Donate now.

As well as campaigning for an increase in the number of courses, the Foundation need to fund the production and distribution of Surgery Toolkits for GPs and continue to raise awareness of Mindfulness amongst the wider public.
